Every student must choose a THING (a simple common object, that will be brought in the class).
Every student must choose a book (see the suggested ones), to read and to bring for the exam
Every student must prepare a blog (i.e. http://student_code.blogspot.it) containing the posts:
- The names of the THING (translation in several languages, etymologies, word families...)
- The images of the THING (icones and emblematic pictures)
- The collection of the THING (5-10 images, with captions and refences, according to a taxonomy criterion)
- The stories of the THING (songs, movies, novels where the thing is a protagonist)
then the posts will show the STORYof the selected THING with respect society, culture, chronicles,.. starting from the present and going back in the past. Do not insert downloaded (or copied) texts but prefer images and links to web pages.
At the end, the blog shall contain a short written text about Ethics and Aesthetics of the THING.

A new course
Starting from the first semester of the 2012-2013 Academic Year, the History of Things lectures begin.
